Information Technology

The study of Information Technology focuses on using computer applications and programs to ease the business process. Typical areas of study include, but are not limited to, Information Systems, Human Communication and Business Organisation, Database Systems, Software, Programming Techniques and System Development.

At Advanced level, candidates are currently required to sit for two papers and submit a database, a programming and a web design project.

At Intermediate level candidates are required to sit for one paper and submit a web design, a database and a human communications and business organisation project.

The teaching programme is supplemented by:

  • Guest speakers from IT and Computing related faculties at the University of Malta and from other institutions.
  • Visits to the different relevant entities.
