The programme is divided into two stand-alone accredited modules:

– Non-formal award in photography
– Non-formal award in advanced photography and photo editing

It is recommended that students first enrol in Non-formal award in photography. Successful completion of this will enable them to progress to Non-formal award in advanced photography and photo editing. However, students with a good knowledge of photography are eligible to enroll directly to ‘Non-formal award in advanced photography and photo editing’ following an assessment.

Non-Formal Award in Photography

The main competences acquired include the ability to take quality photos in different scenarios, identifying the right lens for the best photos, and learning about focusing, depth of field, shutter speed and lightning. Students will also learn to recognise main attributes of good quality photos, maintain an organised portfolio and plan, design and set up an exhibition as a team.

Non-Formal Award in Advanced Photography and Photo Editing

Themes covered in this module include nature and portrait photography, studio work and its equipment and photo editing. The pinnacle of this module is a photographic exhibition which is organised on an annual basis. Learners with positive disposition and talent will be encouraged to further pursue their educational development in the field within higher education institutions.

Duration

Each module has 2 lessons per week for one scholastic year.
