The Library at GCHSS provides a quiet area for reading and studying, at the same time offering a varied selection of resources for the use of the school community. Our books are grouped as Reference and Melitensia, whereas the lending area comprises information books and an abundant and varied selection of fiction. To further encourage the love of reading ongoing displays of books are organised.

The library is open throughout the school day, between 08:00 and 15:00, and is totally accessible. It is found at Level 0 in the New Block.

The highlight of the scholastic year is Library Week which is held in January. Library Week revolves around a particular theme and apart from book displays, talks and other activities are held in collaboration with subject departments.  Film adaptation of novels are also shown during this week. A fundraising Book Sale is also held throughout Library Week.

The GCHSS Library supports personal development at all ability levels.
